In 'Remind Me I'm Not Dead' ten dancers welcome you to a dreamlike state, a space reminding you that you are alive. Here and now.
'Remind Me I'm Not Dead' is a new creation comissioned by Skånes Dansteater by acclaimed choreographer Mari Carrasco, internationally renowned composer Mikael Carlsson and light and visual designer Mateus Manninen.

ABOUT THE CHOREOGRAPHER
Mari Carrasco is a Stockholm based dancer and choreographer from Sweden/Chile. Carrasco started to create work during her education and have been producing her own independent work from 2009. She got her first national and international break through as a choreographer with her piece BARTOLOMEO which toured Sweden and the world 2014 and onward.
In her career she has created comissioned works for Norrdans, Dansstationen, Black Box Company and Riksteatern, Choreographed celebrated theatre and dance productions such as Girls will make you blush for Unga Klara and Västmanlands Teater, Häxor for Regionteater Väst and The Heart for Kulturhuset Stadsteatern.
Carrasco works with a thinking and a physical body. In all of her pieces there is a continues flow and a sense of groove. The work is characterized by an intensive nerve that makes the performer push the limits of the body. The movement often balances in the in-between landscape of imploding and exploding.
Since 2016 Mari Carrasco has collaborated with world renowned composer Mikael Karlsson. Together with the grand and dynamic music of Karlsson and the piercing movement language of Carrasco they create performances that have a burning quality that makes the room vibrate and the audience to lean forward.
