Common Ground

A ritualistic battleground for two dance greats, Common Ground is a choreographic game of chess. Ingrained rules are upturned by unexpected moves—intricate gambits, sacrifices and reactive attacks. Together with her team, Dutch choreographer and former Chunky Move Artistic Director Anouk van Dijk looked at the duet form as both a utopian ideal and a display of the inherent complexity that partnerships bring.
Restaged and performed by two strong Skånes Dansteater dancers, this breathtaking duet has become a poetic study on similarity, equality, defining territory and shifting grounds, testing the tension between the support we need and the restrictions of codependency.

Attempting Alchemy

Medieval alchemy, the dream of making gold, may be the most utopian of all sciences. Alchemy pushes the boundaries of science and finds a home in the world of imagination. For Norwegian choreographer Ludvig Daae, this dream of transforming everyday experiences into something different and elevated is a central part of creating art.
In his new dance performance Attempting Alchemy, Ludvig Daae searches for utopia. He wants to transform ordinary movements, themes and objects into beauty, magic and gold.
In Attempting Alchemy, the four dancing bodies move through the space in formations, like a changing kaleidoscope. Chasing fleeting moments where it feels like the stars are aligned. Invites you to keep faith in the inherent power of people to reach new heights together.

Domino

Domino is a vibrant explosion of joy and energy with magnificent costumes and live DJ. A captivating dance performance by Italian choreographer Erika Silgoner dissolving the borders between the worlds of our imagination and reality.
In Domino you are surrounded by wonderous creatures and the set design unfolds. Everything comes to life to the heartbeat of the show’s DJ and sound designer Tuomas Norvio. Domino dreams of an inclusive world, where coexistence with others is seen as an asset.
