Allt är under kontroll

"Allt är under kontroll" (Everything is under control) is produced in collaboration with Skånes Dansteater, our dancer Emma Välimäki is guesting Moomsteatern in this powerful and humorous multidisciplinary work of art.

Bengt is a human being. And we are all Bengt. He works at Bengt AB, surrounded by colleagues not unlike himself. But like all people, Bengt is a person with many sides. He has dreams and fears, strengths and problems, light and darkness. When Bengt suddenly gets fired from himself one day, he is forced to take control of his life, gather the different sides of himself, and try to find his place in existence.

In 2016, Moomsteatern created the short film Man Utan Riktning together with Johannes Stjärne Nilsson, known from the internationally acclaimed short film Music for One Apartment and Six Drummers and the feature film Sound of Noise. Man Utan Riktning drew inspiration from Dante's The Divine Comedy and was a journey straight into the darkest corners of humanity, laced with pitch-black humour. Since then, Moomsteatern has longed for a new collaboration with Johannes – in the spring of 2026, it will become a reality.

Allt är under kontroll is a dreamlike journey through searching, longing, hope, and doubt. With Bengt as our own vessel, Moomsteatern continues to seek answers to the impossible questions about what it means to be human. It is a warm tribute to our curiosity and imagination, to our sense of belonging, what we have in common, and the beauty in our simultaneous differences. A thorough examination shows, in fact, that we all carry the same diagnosis: human.
