Chacarera: A Whirlwind of Energy, Joy, and Human Warmth

This workshop introduces chacarera, a traditional Argentine folk dance. Open to all levels, it explores basic steps and emphasizes chacarera as a living cultural practice and an embodied experience of both individual empowerment and community connection. 

By dancing in synchronicity with a partner, we move closer and away, opening eyes and arms in an embrace without touching but maintaining contact. A group version allows us to feel unity, joy, expression, and energetic release.

A festival that aims to reduce the distance between professional dancers, enthusiasts, and diverse groups in society - connecting bodies, bridging communities.Through workshops, performances, talks, and DJ open dance sessions, different generations, cultures, and styles come together on the dance floor. 

Here, local dancers share their knowledge and invite conversations about the city’s dance community. Our bodies carry collective knowledge, and dance becomes a space for health and well-being through playfulness, mobility, and connection.

The program ranges from contemporary dance and street styles to traditional folk dance, club culture, and somatic practices.
