Summer Movie Night

In collaboration with Malmöfestivalen we're making the streets of Malmö into unexpected spaces for movement and movie magic. With a program featuring both new works from the recent year and favourites from previous years Dance Film Fest you will be able to enjoy the diversity and creativity of dance film as a genre, as well as the talent and vision of our filmmakers and dancers.

Skånes Dansteater’s dance film production started in earnest during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a way to adapt to the challenges and limitations of the situation. Since then, it has become a flourishing part of the organization, producing more films every year that are being sent out and taking part in festivals around the world. 

Program

August 9, 21:00-22:30, outside St. Petri Church.

August 15, 21:00-22:30, in front of Davidshall Bridge behind the Ice cream shop.

Practical information

This event is free of charge, no tickets required. 

Come and go as you please. 

Both shows of Dance Film Fest at Malmöfestivalen takes place outdoors. 

Please bring something comfy to sit on, a foldable chair, a picnic blanket or similar.
