About DansFunk 2026

The film is presented in collaboration with Skånes Dansteater as a part of the festival DansFunk. Each year, Skånes Dansteater’s festival dedicates a week to a theme, question, or community that challenges how we understand the dancing body. Beyond Safety is the theme of this year’s DansFunk Festival, and it is placing disabled-led work at its centre, raising the question: do you feel safe? Concepts of safety, care and pleasure will be examined and embodied by international disabled artists.
