Emma Lewis

Emma Lewis trained at the Arts Educational School and the Royal Ballet School, London, beginning her career as a classical dancer in Spain and Italy before moving into contemporary dance at the London Contemporary Dance School. She went on to perform with Cullberg Ballet, Sweden, for over eight years, dancing works by Mats Ek, Carolyn Carlson, Ohad Naharin, Jirí Kylián, Johan Inger, and Philippe Blanchard. 

After relocating to France, she collaborated extensively with La Compagnie Humaine in Nice, creating numerous works with Eric Oberdorff. Since 2018, she has been a member of Berlin’s Dance On Ensemble for dancers over 40, working with Mathilde Monnier, Ivana Müller, Christos Papadopoulos, and others, and performing pieces by Cunningham, Jan Martens, and Lucinda Childs. Emma is also a certified teacher of classical and contemporary techniques and the Alan Herdman Pilates method, with over two decades’ experience working with people of all ages and abilities.
