Floorwork: One Nation Under the Groove

Workshop with Anna Eileen Nguyen Jeppesen (Groovy).

From grooves to moves, this workshop invites participants into a shared journey where rhythm, floorwork, and connection meet. Through different grooves and musical landscapes, Groovy guides the group in exploring honest expression and the relationship between body, music, and space.

We will work with concepts and exercises that open up multiple ways of moving, flowing from up to down and down to up. Emphasis is placed not only on individual exploration, but on exchange and how we move together: listening, responding, and building a collective energy in the room.

Groovy meets each participant at their level, allowing space for spontaneity, play, and organic flow throughout the workshop.

A festival that aims to reduce the distance between professional dancers, enthusiasts, and diverse groups in society - connecting bodies, bridging communities.Through workshops, performances, talks, and DJ open dance sessions, different generations, cultures, and styles come together on the dance floor. 

Here, local dancers share their knowledge and invite conversations about the city’s dance community. Our bodies carry collective knowledge, and dance becomes a space for health and well-being through playfulness, mobility, and connection.

The program ranges from contemporary dance and street styles to traditional folk dance, club culture, and somatic practices.
