May Fall
Holding on and letting go, pretending and daring. A world premiere by Italian choreographer Aristide Rontini.
The visible and the hidden
Sprinkled by a series of floating curtains, the theatre stage reveals a world where all elements and bodies appear and disappear. The performers’ simultaneously communal and enigmatic presence are rooted in a mysterious and suspended atmosphere where different relationships and narrative lines are carried on at the same time.
The flow of dance fragments offered by the hypnotic movements of curtains offer the audience the possibility to edit their own perspective, pleasure, curiosity, and imagination. Sharp, loose and everyday life moves intertwine to create a series of different circumstances evoking the human desires to live, to be loved in return and the possible friction generated by resisting them. Why do we resist?
