Mira Thompson

Mira Thompson is a singer who also writes about the interplay between art and disability. 

In her work, she explores the power of language and investigates what lies beneath that which is presented in a rigid or prescribed manner. She examines not only inaccessibility and ableism as systems of oppression, but also what underpins these mechanisms of exclusion. 

Both in her writing and on stage, Thompson plays with the "gaze" – who is looking, and who is being looked at.
