SOUL Line Dance is based on simple, repetitive dance steps, rhythmic, soulful movements in a choreographed sequence, danced to R&B, hip-hop, or classic soul music.

Unlike the line dance tradition of country culture, SOUL Line Dance has a softer, more expressive style that captures the feeling and groove of the music. The dance is popular at social gatherings, parties, and dance clubs – offering a fun, energetic way to connect with the music and with other people.

SOUL Line Dance releases endorphins and provides enjoyable exercise, while also strengthening coordination, balance, and rhythm.

It's accessible for anybody – no matter where you come from, how old you are, what you earn, or whether you know the steps. There is no right or wrong way, just variations. Did you miss a step? No problem – the sequence will start over, and you'll get another chance at the next "wall."

You don't need a partner. You dance individually but in harmony with others – according to your own ability, whenever you want and feel like it. Just step onto the floor and let the community carry you.

Practical Information

SOUL Line Dance takes place in the new theatre auditorium Bågscenen. The entrance is located on Östra Varvsgatan 13D around the corner from the theatre towards the sea.

The event is free with general admission but we recommend that you book a ticket to guarantee your spot. 

Your ticket won't have a specific row or seat number. 

Our foyer cafe in Bågfoajén will be open before, during and after for anybody thirsty or hungry. 

You won't have to take off your shoes.
