Malmö Opera is no stranger to high camp - the house that brought you Kinky Boots, Everyone's Talking About Jamie, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and so many more - and now they're bringing their most iconic props, costumes and utterly spectacular shoes straight to our studio. Together with Oscar Pierrou Lindén (yes, THAT Oscar - recently wowing audiences in the title role of Everyone's Talking About Jamie) and Gwyn Emberton, choreographer of Indigo Flamingo, you'll learn choreographies inspired by some of Malmö Opera's most glittering shows, get to dress up in full glory, and just... BE. FABULOUS.

No experience necessary. Just bring yourself and a friend if you like (or you can make some new ones whilst you’re dancing), something to move in, and your most fabulous energy. 

Indigo Flamingo is a collaboration between Skånes Dansteater and Malmö Pride and is a celebration of Malmö’s LGBTQIA+ communities, people and history. This workshop is also in collaboration with Malmö Opera.

Practical Information

Coffees and teas served from 11:00. The workshop lasts 12:00–14:00.

No previous dance experience required for this workshop.

The workshop is held in Swedish and English.

Our dance workshops welcome all abilities. 

Wear loose fitting clothes that you feel comfortable moving around in. 

Changing facilities are available.
