Indigo Flamingo

Gwyn Emberton is the choreographer behind Indigo Flamingo. 

Sofia Södergård is a dancer, choreographer, actor and DJ. Recently toured with Riksteatern with her own performance SLICK with the drag king Qarl Qunt, which was nominated for the Swedish theatre critics' dance award and one of the selected performances for the Swedish Performing Arts Biennial 2019. Sofia is one of the founders of the dance company P*fect, which has been seen at Sadler's Wells in London, Melodifestivalen, Juste Debout in Paris and has been a support act for Lady Gaga.

Sofia has choreographed the musical Cabaret at Den Nationale Scene, Familjen Kaos Slå Pattarna i Taket and Angels in America at Dramaten. She is trained on the club and street dance scene in New York, Balettakademien in Stockholm and at Stockholm University of the Arts. In autumn 2021, she participated in the performance PRIDE at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, directed by Falk Richter. She has done several productions with Charlotte Engelkes, including Transplantation.

This summer Sofia performs in Indigo Flamingo as a DJ.

Maja Svartåker is trained in fashion design at Malmö Folk High School and the University of the Arts in Berlin. She received her Master's in Costume Design from the University of the Arts Berlin in 2021. She also worked for many years as a student assistant in the screen printing and paint workshop at the university.

Maja has been freelancing in costume design in Germany for several years, and has also worked in film, done set design, and made dolls. Among other things, she has worked at the Deutsches Theatre Berlin, the Puppentheater Gera, and with Nico and the Navigators. Since 2023, she has been working as a costume mangager at Skånes Dansteater.
