LGBTQIA+ Workshop: Kylie Choreo

The Indigo Flamingo workshops are back! Dance some of pop princess Kylie Minogue's most iconic choreography. For Malmö's LGBTQIA+ community. Free.

A new Indigo Flamingo workshop

Kicking of the Indigo Flamingo season is ballroom queen, DJ and dancer Ranya and dancer and choreographer Gwyn in a Kylie Minogue double act. Together they will host the Kylie Choreography workshop, where you will get to dance some of the pop princess's most iconic choreography from the past 30 years. With so many classic music videos, there's so much to choose from, so expect some of the most iconique moves.

Taking part in the workshop is free of charge.

Doors open with free cofee and tea 12:30.
The workshop lasts 13:00–15:00.

Practical information

No previous dance experience is required.
Our dance workshops welcome all abilities.
Wear clothes that you feel comfortable moving around in – gold hot pants are optional, but no high heels.

About Ranya Asadi

Ranya Asadi is a dancer who has been active for over 20 years. Her journey with the style Whacking/Waacking started in 2012 and she has since then traveled the world representing herself in various battles and also co-choreographed the Punking/Whacking show The Lobby Presents: Room 02:53 that has toured Scandinavia. She is also an active member in Scandinavia's ballroom community and has been leading and facilitating the scene in Skåne since 2018, organising workshops and balls.

About Gwyn Emberton

Gwyn Emberton is a choreographer, dancer and producer, originally from a small town in Wales (UK) now living in Malmö. He's been a fan of Kylie Minogue since he was 9 year old, making dances in his bedroom to her first hits I should be so lucky and Locomotion. He never stopped dancing.
