During a week in May dancer and choreographer Teresia Björk has a dance residency at SKånes Dansteater. A week where she has been developing her solo work 'u&me'.

‘u&me’ is an interactive dance and comedy solo inviting the audience into an imaginary world of forests, rocks, water, and taste sensations in a solitary life on a sofa, in a waiting room – or is it a home?

"What does one do with one's loneliness?‘, ’Who do you dare to share your loneliness with?" and how can imaginary worlds be a way of maintaining a sense of privacy. These are relevant questions to ask in a society where more and more people live alone and increasingly rely on one's social contacts, while digital technology can blur the line between what is real and and what is not. The work is also about the human ability to feel empathy and how, with the power of empathy, we can experience events and places we have neither experienced nor visited.
