A dance workshop with choreographer and dancer Nidia Martinez Barbieri, a part of Malmö Folk Festival, April 9-12.
For folk dancers
In connection with the project Danser från världen (Dances of the world) choreographer and dancer Nidia Martinez Barbieri welcomes anybody dancing folk dance to take part in this dance workshop. The workshop offers a space for anybody wanting to critically reflect and discuss the dissemination and performing of folk dance practices to audiences.
The workshop is intended for you with previous dance experience. It welcomes dance groups, dance communities and dance practicioners active within folk dance from the world. No professional experience required, but you should be an active folk dancer.
Led by Nidia Martinez Barbieri this workshop engages body and mind and shares insight into the methods and content in the project Danser från världen (Dances of the world). The workshop aims to raise interest and enable further involvement in the project.

The workshop is free to take part in, signing up is required.

About the project
This event is a part of a pilot phase of the project Danser från världen (Dances of the world). The workshop and the sharing connected to the project are produced by Rum i Dans, in collaboration with Medborgarskolan, Bilda, Studiefrämjandet and Skånes Dansteater.
