Workshop young dancers: Viktor Fröjd & Yared Tilahun Cederlund
In connection with the performance of the duet Tracks by dancers Viktor Fröjd and Yared Tilahun Cederlund at Skånes Dansteater on April 12, they invite young dancers and choreographers to a dance workshop on how a creative process can unfold. After the workshop, you have the opportunity to see the performance Tracks with free admission.
Workshop: Choreographic Methods with Viktor Fröjd and Yared Tilahun Cederlund
Meet the dancers and creators of the work Tracks in a workshop. The starting point of the workshop is the unconditional love we have for dance, just as Tracks began its creative process. We will move between improvisation and set material and move in between. Through pulse, rhythm, and listening to oneself and each other, various concepts and dances will be taught and created on the spot. The movement techniques and qualities are rooted in various street styles.
The workshop is aimed at everyone who has dance experience and is interested in how a creative process can unfold.

About Viktor Fröjd
Viktor Fröjd, dance artist, is based in Malmö, Skåne. The background in street and club dance means that improvisation is constantly present in Viktor's work - the understanding of the social aspect, that everyone (and everything) in the room (performers and spectators) influences both the atmosphere and what actually unfolds. Through both commissioned projects and his own productions, Viktor creates and choreographs works for larger and smaller stages that tour around Sweden.
About Yared Tilahun Cederlund
After many years of studying dances and techniques within street dance and exploring other types of dance, Yared's unique movement language has emerged. From 2006 to 2013, he was most active in the Battle scene and was often seen at events like Streetstar (Sweden) and Juste Debout (France). In recent years, he has been involved as a dancer in a variety of performances, such as "IDIOM" and "DRONE" by Erik Linghede, "Mental State of Sweden" with Cullberg by Mattias Andersson, and "Raised On Rhythm" by Niki Tsappos.
