DANSA FÖR EVIGT (Dance Forever) is a celebration of lives lived through the body; of the artistry, presence, and perspectives that can only come from a lifetime experienced through movement and dance.
DANSA FÖR EVIGT places older dancers and their voices centre stage – valuing their experience and imagination as equal to the vitality of a younger dancing body.
With a brand-new production by Skånes Dansteater’s 60+ dance community, performances by world-renowned guest artists, conversations with current and former Skånes Dansteater dancers who are defying societal norms, and a DJ-led afterwork club, this festival is a place for different generations to meet, move and be moved.
Here, older bodies are not hidden – they are luminous. Older perspectives are not “outdated” – they are vital. This is dance as a living archive, a dialogue across time, and a reminder that experience is not the opposite of innovation but its foundation.
About our festivals
Each year, we present a week-long dance festival, each edition shaped around a different theme or community. The festival creates space for voices and bodies rarely seen on the dance theatre stage, always featuring members of Skånes Dansteater’s diverse communities who take part in its year-round Dialog programmes and workshops.
